Morality is all about behaviors; it is conformity to the rules of right conduct. It all comes back to how you conduct yourself around people who know you and those who don’t know you. Are you a two sided person or do you maintain the same behavior no matter where you are? We all make mistakes; but do you accept to be corrected when you are wrong or even do you listen to advice when someone is trying to help you?
Learn to set Limits
There is a limit for everything,
right!! Because even taking a lot of sugar is harmful to your body. Take
control of your own life because besides God you are the only one with yourself
24/7. As young people it’s good to enjoy
and have fun but also set a limit to what extent you can go to in the name of
having fun.
How to Develop Good Morals
Accept to be corrected and listen
to advice. Even if you don’t
agree with what you are being told don’t develop a habit of arguing all the
time, listen and use what is of value to you.
Take criticism in a positive way. At times people criticize because they are jealous
but there are those who do it to help you.
Be keen enough and don’t let those who do it for ill motives to pull you
down. Listen to critics and examine
yourself deeply and see if whatever you were told is the truth or not and if it
is the truth then try as much as you can to change.
If you don’t know how to
behave/do something always ask for guidance from the people you believe will be
able to guide you in the right way.
Try as much as possible to govern
your temper, tongue and conduct.
Be in control of your own self in the sense that if at least you know
what is right or wrong then you will be able to govern these three things.
Do not be cheated everyone is capable of
talking or conducting themselves however they want but the well behaved only
create a difference because they have self control. Don’t allow your temper or tongue to drive
you do or say something that will make you regret later.
Do not be a person who blames
others all the time because of your mistakes.
You also have a mind to guide you not to engage in bad behaviors
therefore when it happens you are also to blame as well not unless you were
forced.
Learn not to be someone who
complains all the time. If you
know you have the ability to change something bad then take the initiative and
change it but if you don’t have the power to then accept or avoid it.
Change your attitude and develop
a flexible mindset in order to accommodate different views. It is unlikely that you will be right all the
time therefore accept to be corrected when wrong.
Do not develop a judgmental habit. Get to understand that people were brought up
differently and no one is perfect.
