It’s important to remember that focusing
on the task at hand doesn’t mean that nothing else will get done; it simply
means you are reserving a special amount of time to accomplish the most
important task, before moving onto the other tasks.
Time is golden. Prioritizing your
tasks in order of importance allows you to complete your tasks as efficiently
as possible –saving you from unneeded stress and helping to free you up to have
more time for what matters most.
We all have talents the only
problem is how to identify our talents.
If you happen to discover your talent at an early age then that is a
good thing and consider yourself lucky because there are people at their
fifties and have not been able to discover their talent yet. But don’t get me wrong, because your talent
is not the task at hand.
Talent can go hand in hand with
the task at hand and it can also be practiced at any stage in your life
meaning; if it is distracting you, you can put it on hold and focus on the task
at hand first. Life is a cycle and it
has phases/stages therefore there is a different task at hand at each
particular phase; live one phase at a time.
If possible; do not procrastinate
and avoid delaying any of your tasks by leaving things to done later. Rather have them done now and move on to the
next task. The task at hand will vary
from time to time as you grow up and the most important thing is to identify it
ahead of time, so that you don’t end up going for a second chance.
The Second Chance
It is true; there is a second
chance in life. But in most cases
during the second chance you will find yourself handling two important tasks
instead of one if it’s not possible to put one on hold. More especially if you
do it at a different phase of your life.
For example having a family before you finish school, when you decide to
get back to school it will mean that your tasks at hand will be school and
family.
There is always a second chance when
you fail to accomplish the task at hand at the right time; yeah!! You can do it
again but literally it’s something that you didn’t do right when time was
right. For example when a girl gets
pregnant while still in school, she will go deliver and go back if there is
support but she could have done it right the first time by waiting.
How to Identify the Task at Hand

time

It is a task that will make the biggest
difference at that particular time
This task could be school, a task at work, your
career, family etc. depending on which phase in life you are at.
Why Focus on the Task at Hand

It will help you to keep your life organized,
