You may not have control over
what others do but you can take control over how you want to feel. You can
choose to feel peaceful regardless of what you observe going on. You can decide
to release and heal or hold on to it and inflict more pain to yourself.
Avoid Getting Hurt
Ø Disregard any inclination to dominate
Learn to soften
your hard edges and be more tolerant of contrary opinions. Do not interfere so
much but instead learn to listen and avoid the habit of being the only one who
tells others what to do or even directs all the time. By doing this you will
free yourself from being disappointed or frustrated with people who don’t
behave as per your expectations.
Ø Stop looking for occasions to be offended
There are
people who will always look for opportunities to be offended; and if that is
what you are looking for, you will definitely get offended. Choose to feel
peaceful and avoid things or issues that may offend you.
Ø Avoid being judgmental
Try to avoid
judgmental opinions; learn to listen to the other side of the story rather than
being too quick to condemn or criticize. I assure you this will leave you with
so much peace and you will be free from negative energy.
Ø No one is perfect
No human being
is perfect; we all have weaknesses and strengths and whatever may be your
strength could be a weakness to someone else or vice versa. This is a true
indication that we are bound to make mistakes at one point or another therefore;
once you get to understand that you will learn to tolerate others.
Ø Do the right thing
Doing the right
thing is very important, do the right thing even if you are the only one doing
it. Do it for yourself and not others; make a commitment to protect yourself
and feel better. Doing the right thing will keep you off a lot of guilt and
this will leave you with inner peace. Look for other ways to meet your goals
and not through revenge and rage.
Ø Don’t expect too much from others
Do the right
thing but do not expect so much from others because you are bound to get
disappointed. People will not meet your expectations all the time therefore
learn to be flexible and be happy.
Yes you can do it because you
have control over what you want to feel. Life is so simple, try not to
complicate it and you will be happy.
